US Airways said “Bonjour” to its eighth Canadian destination today with the launching of daily service to Quebec City from the airline’s Philadelphia hub.
“US Airways customers and members of the Philadelphia community and surrounding areas continue to benefit from our development of our northeast hub with this new service to beautiful Quebec City,” said Suzanne Boda, US Airways’ senior vice president of airport customer service, international and cargo. “Customers traveling from Quebec City will now have access to 111 domestic and international destinations through Philadelphia, where US Airways has expanded its service to 456 peak day departures.”
“We are truly enthusiastic about the arrival of US Airways at our airport. Gaining access to a major hub like Philadelphia is a great addition to the connecting flights offered from Québec City. With this new addition, our passengers now have access to four Star Alliance members, including US Airways,” said Gaëtan Gagné, Aéroport de Québec’s President and CEO.
The three times daily route will be flown using 50 seat Bombardier CRJ-200 series jets.
